Danyl Johnson has recived praise from last years Xfactor semi finalist Diana Vickers for his audition on Saturday night’s X Factor.

Diana posted on Twitter that she had been very impressed by Danyl Johnson’s performance of ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ on the series opener.

Diana said: “Looks like I’m gonna have to watch The X Factor after all! Lets see how this goes down.

“Eeeeeeeek. Teacher man was awesome… that’s about it!”

Diana  had previously added that it was “surreal” and “strange” that the reality talent show was back on so soon.

Simon Cowell described Johnson’s performance as “single-handedly the best first audition” he has ever seen.
