Simon Cowell told Danyl Johnson that his audition on Saturday night’s X Factor was “single handedly the best first audition I’ve ever heard.”

It comes as no surprise that the bookies have Danyl as the  X Factor favourite at the lowest odds in the show’s history, at 2/1 to win.

A William Hill spokesman told The Mirror: “We have been hammered for Danyl today with an unprecedented £10,000 wagered on him already, despite the fact that we have seen only a fraction of potential contestants.”
