The X Factor star and ‘the new Susan Boyle’ of the internet, Danyl Johnson has revealed that it was his students who convinced him to apply for the show
Interviewed on the American television show Today, Danyl explained he has been singing for about ten years now.
“I thought that dream had gone past,” he said. “The kids have been so supportive and they said I should go into the competition.
“I just thought, ‘OK, I’ll send an application, and if I hear back I will see what happens from there’. I’m so glad they got me to do it now, I have to say.”
adding “I’m just having a really good time and enjoying it, but it’s really humbling. Everyone has been really nice to me; everyone has said really nice things.”
Simon Cowell described Johnson’s audition as the “best ever” after he performed ‘With a Little Help from My Friends’.
